Home Studio Architects was founded in 2022 by Architect Alex Melhuish after over 15 years experience working for some of the North West region's most respected Architecture and Design firms.  During that time Alex has overseen a variety of projects ranging from house remodelling and extensions, multi-million pound residential developments as well as commercial projects.  

Following a series of successful private commissions Alex decided to establish his own practice.  This has enabled him to bring his years of experience and passion for design into full focus on each project he takes on.

We offer a full range of architectural and drafting services from concept to technical design.  Specialising in residential design and working with existing buildings we can help plan and design projects, obtain permissions, building regulations approval and assist with the tendering process. We're always happy to provide any help and assistance wherever we can.

Based in South Cheshire we mainly service the North West and West Midlands regions, but do feel free to contact us if you project is further afield!

Planning a project can be tough, so we work closely with all of our clients, aiming to educate, embolden and empower them through the process of design.  We see ourselves as design partners, challenging ideas where we see fit, but not wishing to take the experience away from the people that we work with.

We also seek to get the most out of the budgets that we are given, looking for efficient and cost effective solutions to unlock hidden potential where we can.    In our experience this often leads to more satisfying and unique solutions,  resulting in our clients achieving much more than they initially set out to.
